Input needed: Sometimes you can't avoid the imaging "glare"...

... when trying to capture the essence of the color/luster of a coin. Any suggestions would be appreciated? Here's a couple examples of two different coins...

I've gone through the same ordeal for the same reason (trying to capture the true colors). I found that you can catch the colors by bringing the reflection of the light source
right to the edge of the coin but not over it. Here's one:



Depending on the surface of the coin, sometimes you can actually put the reflection right in the middle of it & if you're lucky it will
