Anybody win anything yet? I got my only bid - the 1904 error cent. I saw this coin at TOREX. How triple struck, non round coin circulated down to VF-EF I'll never know.

I lost out on this one. I was only outbid by C$70. image It would have only been an upgrade for my set so I'm not too disappointed.

I went 5 for 11 including the subject of this thread. image

    Also picked up a:

    NEWFIE 1911 50c PCGS MS62
2003 gold plated cent PCGS PR69DC

No competition on these 2 as I got them for openers.

    Also:
    1958 $1 PCGS MS66
    1945 5c PCGS MS66

These two are major upgrades for my sets.

I went 1 for 8 - won the PCGS 1953 NSF 5c. Lost out on a few of the ICCS MS65 nickels.

Rat - It seemed like the 65 nickels were still red hot. - Rob

  • Ya, MS65 nickels are still burning. I put fairly strong money on a couple of them - above the high end of the estimate - but obviously this wasn't enough.

Very interesting piece you picked up (the 1904). I wonder if it actually circulated, or rode around in someone's pocket for years.

The pocket piece scenario occurred to me also. Who knows? It is one of the most spectacular early Canadian error coins I've ever seen.
