Hi everyone,
My newest undertaking is to complete a 1959 Fleer Ted Williams set in PSA 8 condition. Is anyone else out there knowledgeable of this set and/or collecting it in PSA graded form? If so, please help me with these questions:
1. Is there anything unique to this set that I should be on the lookout for? Thus far, it appears that staining and centering are big issues.
2. Other than card #68 (which was pulled due to contract issues), are there any other cards that will cost a bundle? I've noticed that most sellers have asked for much more for those first 10 cards in the set.
3. How much has a PSA 8 card # 68 pulled in the past?
3. Does anyone have a population report they can share for this 80 card set?
Thanks

Remember these Chuck Norris Facts
1. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down
2. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, Chuck Norris can actually roundhouse kick you yesterday
3. There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

Anyway as to PSA 8 pops. NQ only, PSA 9s NQ also listed after the dash.
The four hardest are # 1 73-5, #8 73-12, # 13 75-17, and # 6 78-14
I have some 7s and 8s, a few SGCs including a 60 (EX) of card # 2 with Ted and Babe Ruth together. No desire or funds to complete the set yet do enjoy some of the cards very much.
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs
Nothing on ebay
<< <i>One of the biggest hobby regrets I have is selling my TW Set.Got good money for it but I still regret it. >>
Me too, the selling thing, I didn't get all that good money..but I didn't have the #68 either. It was in very good shape..but back then, today's 6's and 7's were GEM MINT 10 to the untrained eye!
