A big-eared devilish looking poster, an expert AH who often acts as if he owns these boards but does post outstanding coin images, signs-off with NCNE. What does it mean?


My guess -- Nasty Coin Nerd Expert

    It means "No Certification, No Education"

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Ahah! That might explain why he portends to be an expert on the workings of PCGS and always is critical of anyone who has the audicity to note that the TPGs are frought with problems and do not offer meaningful written guaranties of authenticity..

    Sure, Russ doesn't hold back punches, but I for one get a lot out of his posts. He's to the point, and has a lot of experience to bring to the party. Sure, he's a little rough around the edges at times.
