Yes the details are nice but I purposely washed it our with too much light... Alot like how heritage does...

    Here is the true coin

It's amazing how many flaws can be washed out by using too much light and putting the coin at a certain angle.

You need to bump up the brightness a bit more to compete with Heritage quality.
  • Also if you notice you rarely if EVER see luster in any of their pictures.

The coin was actually housed in a PCGS MS65 holder... It had some light toning on it and I cracked it out to prove a point to a friend just how many marks are hidden under toning. After a quick dip bath this coin would never set foot in a PCGS 65 holder without that toning hiding the marks.

image I was going to say 62 shot 63. Of course, I'm not a professional coin grader.

This is what a Heritage quality image looks like, completely unretouched save for resizing....

With practice, you too can suck at imaging coins in the low quality manner that Heritage has almost perfected.

That's more Goldbergois than Heritagese. You need to get the light low enough to get a shadow of the slab gasket on the coin. NFW on the 65 on that coin, IMHO. PCGS blew it.
  • I agree witht the 63 grade... After I dipped the coin and showed him just how many marks toning hides he gave me half of what I paid for the coin.. At least he kept with his end of the bet image

Here is where the coin came from Teletrade Auction he was over the night I was looking at coins and we were looking at that coin and I told him I bet you anything there is NO WAY that coin should be in a 65 holder. He agreed and I won it for the purpose of a bet. Got the coin, cracked it out.. dipped it and presto.. a 62/63 slider all day long.
