    The only thing I can speculate on is that the paper on the rolls looks really old. Perhaps someone is expecting "keepers" and not just silver for melt value.

    Maybe the bidder thinks that they are from that hoard of coins that came out of Hawaii. It looks like the paper wrapper might say bank of hawaii.

    no, --people have heard that silver is over $10.00 an ounce and think that means silver coin. Guess they are in for a big disapointment !!

    So scrap is about 7x face. I know this may be purely auction hype but many of the Franklins look at least AU (yes, the best 3 are likely on top) and there are walkers too, which are in better than average circ condition. SOmeone has greed fever and thinks they may find something of worth in there.

    Coin Vault is offering AU Morgans for only 20x face right now - show one nice slider and hype up the rest. And they are telling people to buy because silver is at a 26 year high!
