A coin show question

I am new to this forum but have collected coins for a long time.My favorites are proof sets and slabs that catch my eye.Anyway,I watch dumb and dumber on coin vault occassionally and couldn't imagine in my wildest nightmares of ever buying a coin from them,in fact,when they say that millions of people are calling in and they have run out,i wonder?(what salesmen!!)--But They always talk about a 1963 proof penny that someone had graded and it came out proof 70 by PCGS and it sold for $40,000--well,I keep looking at PCGS report and haven't seen a 1963 Lincoln graded 70---so.....am I the third stooge--Dumbest??

That 1963 PR70 cent was bought back by PCGS and then removed from the population report. So it did exist at one time, but not any more.

Kind of like each one of our future fates.
Subsitute God for PCGS and each one of us represents the 1963 PR70 (Some of us not quite being PR70, of course...)

The coin in question developed a carbon spot after slabbing - down goes the value.
