Has anyone ever used a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to clean coins?

Just curious...
If I only had a dollar for every VAM I have...err...nevermind...I do!!

I collect mostly moderns and I'm currently working on a US type set.

any coins that might be of some real value NO WAY lol, to much vibration. I have been a LAB TECH in a electro-plating company for 22 yrs now its finally paid off lol .

Yes.
Ionic cleaner also.

Yes, I put a 1895-O Morgan on the tracks. But the only thing that happened was it was turned into an aluminum piepan. At least that's all I could find after the train passed.

Yep. Didn't get a higher grade.
Then I just hold, suspend, the jar into the ultrasonic solution for a minute or two.....Works for me.....

When I started collecting (About 9), I had an ugly large cent with tar on it, VF details. I took it out of the olive oil and put it in the water-filled jewelry cleaner for about 6 hours.
I took it out and the tar was still on.
So I dried it up and it turned ugly green in two weeks.
Its still buried in the backyard in the olive-oil filled medicine bottle.
It cost me $7
