NEWPS! (Lotsa pics)

Nothing in my post office box for 4 days, then all of a sudden today I have 6 packages waiting for me. USPS said that they "misplaced" my mail... YIPES!
Also some slab shots of material I've had for a few days. I decided to post the pics even though they look like sh*t. Old slabs are even more of a pain than new slabs. Scuffs and scratches that end up appearing as if they're on the coin rather than on the plastic. BLEAGH!
Romania 2 Bani and 5 Bani 1867-H. Both PCGS SP66RD. Big difference between the two. IMO the 2 Bani is more of a 65RB than a 66RD. When I first got the 5 Bani I initially thought that the "SP" designation was an erroroneous designation, since the coins were so similar to proofs (I have several NGC PF65 from this series). After looking at these closely, I'm not so sure. Whereas the proofs have flat mirror fields, these, while having a certain mirrorlike quality to the surfaces, have a texture to them -- very fine lines (not cleaning/whizzing lines though). Definitely a difference. Weird.

Salzburg 1/6 Thaler Klip, 1666. A broken corner, but nice detail. I'm a sucker for these old klippes.

Fiji Penny, 1936. NGC MS66. Relatively nice surfaces; not as attractive as I was anticipating though...

Great Britain Halfcrown, 1947. NGC PF64. This one is MUCH nicer than the pics imply. The reverse is absolutely stunning.

British Honduras 5 Cents, 1936. NGC MS65. Talk about yer low mintages: 60,000.

Breslau 3 Kreuzer, 1670. Very sharp strike and nicer planchet than usually found. You can't tell from the pictures, but the coin has a nice semi-PL thing going.

France 50 Centimes, 1895A. To quote Guiness: BRILLIANT! This one is destined for a slab at some point.

Baden 2 Marks, 1907. PCGS MS66. Lovely peripheral orange toning...

Denmark 2 Kroner, 1906. PCGS MS65. WOW! The auction pics hinted that it was nice, but this is brilliant white with frosty devices and very PL on both sides. No PL designation on the slab though.

Italy 1 Lira, 1863-M BN. PCGS MS65. As I suspected, just lovely toning! I've never seen turquise blue-green like this on a coin. An absolute GEM!

Klippes are fun aren't they? It's a shame that they show up on Ebay so infrequently... and when they do, the sellers usually want gonzobucks.
It's not quite as nice as the pair I showcased in my Best of 2005 thread.
I would love to own a thaler-sized klip, but they invariable cost 4 figures... too rich for my blood.
<< <i>I kind of suspected that the 2 bani was more of an RB from the seller's photos. Lovely coin nevertheless. >>
It's not bad; nowhere near the 5 Bani though. I'm enamored with these proofs and SPs... I think I'm up to 6 slabbed pieces now. One 63, 3 65s and 2 66s. The cool thing is that they don't break the bank. I think the most expensive of the 6 cost $140. Definitely doable. Still no clue on any of the mintages though; there was a reference in a response to one of my earlier posts about a Heaton "hoard" being uncovered at some point years back, but the reference weas vague and I haven't been able to find confirmation online anywhere...
