  • Yeah, Selig is going to take a tape measure, and measure the size of Bonds' fat head. LOL

ESPN was reporting that even though an investigation is imminent, there will be no suspensions unless he is found guilty in court of tax evasion.

I must not have been paying attention to the endless hours of Bonds coverage but, what is the issue with tax evasion. Do you have to pay property tax on steroids?

No, but when you become as big as a house, other property taxes come into play......
  • i think it has to do with him not reporting income from signings at card shows.

Someone should be investigating Selig for looking the other way and ignoring the steroid problem all along. That jerk knew what was up and didnt have once shred of courage or conviction to do a thing about it. He should be the first one tossed and banned from baseball, long before the players who took em.

And why would you think this is the case?

Would you propose that all the team owners who looked the other way when their players got huge in one offseason should be forced to sell their teams and ban them from owning another baseball team?

Banning all the players who must have known 'what was up' and didn't have the courage or conviction to stand up and rat out their teammates?

What about the managers who saw their players coming back bigger and bigger and bigger? Shall they be tossed out on their ears to never manager another game?

Saying Selig is responsible is just an ignorant comment. I am by no means a Selig apologist, but to say he's responsible is just silly. Where were your cries of outrage when McGwire was hitting 70 home runs, and teams were filling up stadiums?

The hypocrisy of some people is simply amazing.

It will be IMPOSSIBLE to punish those who tainted the game in the past with steroids. For every one we know about there are dozens more we don't know about. Handing out punishment in a fair and consistent manor would be impossible. What baseball should do is START NOW with MANDATORY strict testing and banish those who are caught FOR LIFE on the FIRST offense. THAT would make these fu%kers think twice and three times about cheating.
