Filipinas coin

My son was at the park the other day, and came acrross a filipinas coin(1944). Could someone please tell me something about it. Thanks

I don't know anything about this coin except:

It was appearently made in the US for the Phillipines and
there are a few on ebay. They don't seem to be very costly
to obtain. Not a bad find though.

What denomination is the coin by the way? The pic is of a 50 centavos coin.
