Help on Babe Ruth Photo-Value

Hello from Tourney Town Greensboro, NC! Need your valued help fixing, or approximating, a value on a vintage Babe Ruth photo...it is a genuine snap we found in a scrap book at a local yard sale. Dates towards the end of his life, and appears to have been taken in front of a house in Florida as evidenced by the plants and home architecture in the background. It is a full length 3x5 featuring the Babe in a Yankees uniform and bath slippers. We took it to a historian here in town and he verified that it is an original, we are simply looking for an insurance value, ebay was of little help...now we are looking to the pros for help. Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!!!!

PSA/DNA authenticates and I believe encapsulates photo's now. If it were mine I would send it in and once I got it back submit it to an auction house like Mastro.

Edit: Sorry for not really answering your question as to it's worth but that's just my 2 cents.

You can go to lelands.com and type in 'ruth photo' and search the completed items to find out what similar photo's have gone for.

    Hi Hammer

I agree with the suggestion by Knucks - if you're planning on selling it, the PSA "seal of approval" will help immensely.

I know nothing about the value of a pic but I will say that if the subject matter was during a game or just after, it would probably be worth much more than "private/personal" photos.

Can you scan and post it here? I would really like to see it!

    thanx
