Need help on a 1923-S Peace dollar VAM - six photos

This 1923-S Peace dollar has what appears to be a die gouge in the rays, as well as a point coming out of it's shoulder that is partially filed out. The reverse has a lot of die filing on it. There are also a few die cracks that might help with a diagnostic. I've looked in what I have at home, as well as used the Ashmore website, but cannot match it up definiatively with anything listed.

I had a coin similar to that and I was told it was clashing. . .

I tried to match up the area of the disturbance in the rays to some device on the obverse that would cause the clash and can't see one, but I guess that doesn't mean much. I wonder if there is a webite on the net that shows obverse/reverse overlays of Peace dollars so a collector could see where the clashes are likely to occur.

Standard clashing. I think there is future potential for some of that stuff in the Peace series, but it is standard garden-variety clashing. You might see a nice big clash through the rays coming out of the leaf cluster too.
