An impulse buy and a SCHNIPE!

Since I'm not going to make it to CICF after all, I've been spending the money that I had put aside for the show.

A pair that I got on the Bay today:
- First a BIN: Great Britain Quarter Farthing, 1852. Auction Linky. Only the second quarter farthing in my collection. The auction pictures suck, but it looks like it may have toning very similar to the 1839 I pictured in this thread. Looks like it definitely has lustre, dark colorful toning; am potentially worried about what may be a rim nick on the reverse at 6:00. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting half farthings (especially 1844), but quarter farthings seem to show up much less frequently...
- A snipe on a piece that I thought would end up higher: Great Britain 18p Bank Token, 1811. Auction Linky. I think this one shows potential compared to most I've seen on Ebay. I've always liked the looks of the bank token series, but have never owned any in reasonably high grade. Can I hope and dream that it might be a proof rather than a business strike? Nah.... would be too much to ask...
