I've managed to put together a nice short set of Kennedy in PCGS minus the acc hair mind you ..in ms 67 and 67 cam and Pr Cam 69...etc...The silver set. When I look at the later issues in the series.. in ms 67 ..I say NO WAY...can they command a higher price!!!!!!!
It is totally untollerable......eg
1984 D..$1500....????
1976 D..$1500....???
!990 D...$1000...????
Gimme a break .......don't break my wallet........I'm only trying to put together a nice set with a limited budget not Bill Gates' unlimited expense account..............................

Find and "make" your own! There's bound to be some dufus dealer close to you that has an inventory you can cherry pick from. Doing so should only cost you a couple of bucks per coin plus the modern teir grading fee from PCGS.

You'll end up paying pennies on the dollar.


And, when you get tired of your set simply unload on eBay for insane profits!

I hear ya Pat ....I've been to some of the local shows and some of the dealers.You would not believe some of the crap that's out there now.When you look at some old Mint or Proof sets the coins are banging into each other from the pushing of the coins.Unless you bought some sets a while ago it's not worth the effort to lookat some................

Of course it won't be super easy... if it was these Kennedys in MS67 wouldn't sell for as much as the prices you quoted (although I think in a true auction format they'de go for less...).

The fun is the hunt. The fun is knowing you're so much smarter than the dealer across the table.
Now... get out there and cherry those uninformed, finger-up-their-noses, Cheetos eating, diet Dr. Pepper drinking wannabe dufus dealers!
