Whew, I was worried for a second when I first read the title of this thread. Being that pandrews was the author, I thought maybe it was going to describe an attempt at another world record that had gone bad or something.

Did anyone email him yet and ask if he was going to put the card in a penny sleeve, card saver and a bubble mailer so no damage will occur during shipping?
I'm completely unfamiliar with this card since I'm not a golf fan. Did one really sell for $100,000 at one time? I take it these cards could only be pulled from a magazine given the perforated tears on the edges. Did a quick search and did find a few somewhat pricey specimens, but no where near the $100,000 price tag quoted. In fact, I'm surprised either BGS, PSA, or GAI would even grade these. How would you grade edges and corners that was mean to have tears?

LOL! If he would have said that in the auction description I probably would have bid just for the hell of it. You've got to reward wit.
