In the movie "Bull Durham", in prepping Nuke (Tim Robbins) for the "Show", Crash (Kevin Costner) tells Nuke "OK, its time to work on your clichés." A couple cliches from the movie include:
"Just happy to be here."
"take'm one day at a time..."
"...make the best of my God-given talent."
So what's your favorite cliché ?

<< <i> (Note: I know ther's supposed to be a tilde over the "e" but its note available on my keyboard). >>
It's actually an acute accent, i.e. "cliché", which gives the ending e it's "ay" sound.
It ain't over till it's over.

Let's face it, tonight it's do or die, our backs are clearly against the wall. We have to leave our ego's
at the door and come together as a team. Everybody needs to give 110% or we'll be packing our suitcases.
Have a great day.
Rob..
Never understood how these guys can give 110 %.
If you give your all - everything you can give - your absolute utmost best performance - isn't that 100 % ?
Unless they normally only give 90.9 %,
in which case they could give 110 % of their normal effort which would get them to their 100 % level.
Ball players aren't very good at math ... that's why they have agents ...

Here's one of his lesser known gems...After replacing a rookie in right field and subsequently dropping a fairly routine fly ball:
"...that guy's got right field so screwed-up nobody could play it!"
This was by far one of the funniest things I had ever heard in my life and still ranks up there quite a bit.
First a little background.
When I was younger (in the late 80's here) I was in the Army, stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. Home of the 101st Airborne Division.
Well, my NCOIC (non comm. officer in charge) at the time was an old timer, Master SGT.
Well, getting to the point, if was raining like crazy down there, I mean total deluge.....
He looked out the window, looked me straight in the face and said, "it was raining harded the a double cun*ed cow pissing on a flat rock...
lol
