Let's construct a raw modern box of 20.

This should be easy. Please keep the coins under 5 figures, and don't worry about condition. We'll assume they're all high-grade MS/PR.
Coin #1 - I'll begin with the Cheerios Sac.

Or, a 70-D that has wonderful textile colorful bag toning.
1972 Type 2 Eisenhower Dollar.

I would also have to have 5 boxes of 21.
In each of the 5 boxes of 21 I would place a date run of 1950-1970 DCAM Proof and SMS coins. One box of 21 each for cents, nickels, dimes, quarters and halves.
Sorry about changing the parameters of a single box of 20, but that is what I would do. Anyone else want to join me?

How about some Ty1 SBAs? I don't know the Ty1 market but are any of them good to put in?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
2001 Bimetal $10 Library of Congress (unc)
1996 Wheelchair dollar
1997 Jackie Robinson $5(unc)
You need a dime, even though nobody likes them.
If a 1968 No S is too much, then go with a 1970 No S.
Or maybe a 1964 SMS Roosie

Nice. I'd agree with 3 of those 4.

Russ, are you sure you would keep that coin raw??

Probably not, but this is a fantasy thread where I have unlimited money so I'd also have a slabbed one.

<< <i>I would include my 1964 Peace dollar, but I don't plan to part with it. >>
I was thinking the same thing, but I imagine it would go for quite a bit more than 5 figures.
Obscurum per obscurius
I would go for 1950-1953 DCAM Jeffs as being as tough as, or almost as tough as, the '57 but a little more under the radar, however I think the cut off date was '55....

1964-Accented Kennedy
1969-S Au-58 Lincoln
1943-S Au bronze alloy Lincoln
1960-D Five step Jefferson
1964 Peace Dollar
any toned/original MS68 Roosy cracked from a MS68 PCGS holder
5 Ike-clads in sequential dates that look superb gem
1949-D Franklins original white/or cellophane pretty color that's clearly superb & FBL
--and my posted winner from 2005--1896S Morgan in true AU58!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still I stick with my choice. I love those '94 SMS Jeffs, but almost all were very well made. Almost every 1957 Proof Jeff is brilliant. To find any cameo contrast at all is cool. To find a real DCAM is outright rare!
ms67 1960-d large date cent
ms66 1963-d cent (or an ms67 61-d,62-d,63-d if one ever gets graded)
ms66 1973-s cent (or an ms67 if one gets graded)
ms67 1982 copper small date cent (secret key date!)
ms68 1989 cent (or 84-d, whichever proves to be the toughest)
ms66fs 1981-p nickel
ms66fs 1983-p nickel
ms67 1969 dime

I like a box of modern to consist of condition rarities; regular circulation strike issues in the top grades.

I'd also like some variety like an '82-NMM dime, and some other circulating varieties.

I decided you need some nickels in your box... so here goes:
1964 SMS
1965 FS
1965 DCAM
1966 FS
1966 DCAM
1967 DCAM
1968S FS
1970D FS
1970S FS
1971 No S
1976P FS
1978P FS
1981P FS
1983P FS
1984P FS
1989P FS
1990P FS
1993P FS
1994D FS
1995D FS
2002D FS
2003D FS
I didn't add the 1968D FS because I know it costs more than 5 figures... some of the others are probably very close if not over the 5 figure mark, but it's unknown at this time.
Add all of those in the top pops... and someone would be very upset.
