    Gary, here it is :
    2-AU-55
    17-AU-58
    21-MS-63
8-MS64 and eleven ( 11 ) raw, which have been sent in for grading.
Over the last 6 months, I have sold 22 to various dealers. I attend most shows within a 500 mile radius, but the supply has completely vanished. Down the road, they will be selling for three ( 3 ) times their current price, because of no supply.

    Walter,

That is quite a hoard you have there!!!!! image

I know where there is a JUST graded MS65 for sale. If you are interested in it PM me and I will give you details.

P.S. I would be interested in doing a trade, my 1976-S rotated Reverse for some of your TY 2's. I also have several 1971-S Business Strike Peg Legs in PCGS Holders in grades of MS62-63-64-65 I could throw in the deal for a equal trade. LMK if interested.

P.S.S.,,,,,, Walter, you have my number, call me if interested in doing a trade!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a dealer out of Ohio that has been releasing quite a few over the past several months.
They had a very nice sized "hoard" and seems to me,...kind of saturated the market which has
held the price down a little. They have just sold off the last of this "hoard" so there should be fewer
for sale (unless Walter picks up the slackimage) and the prices may start to creep up again. I throw one
out on eBay from time-to-time.....mostly as a "draw coin" as it usually brings more bidders to look at
my other coins I have for sale. Of course,....the extra money is usually pretty nice as well!image

They can still be found at shows down here in Florida as I have all ready found more this year as in the past
2 years combined!image Of course, I'm diggin' like a mole and hitting EVERY table in the show!

I also look for Peg-Legs and something new...Filed-Off E's....where the top rung of E in WE is filed back
or "chopped off" considerably. I have only found (3) so far....(2) 74-D and (1) 72-D. I am not sure what
to think about them yet, but I do find them interesting.

    Brian,
I am not selling any of the remaining type # 2 coins.
I sold several to a dealer in Albemarle, N.C. and a few to a guy in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They were willing to pay premium prices, so I thought that was just as easy as trying to retail the coins.
I might trade some for other Ikes, as they are now very, very, hard to find at shows.
You are very lucky to still find them for sale in Florida. I can't find any raw in both Carolinas.

    Hey Brian,

    << <i>There is a dealer out of Ohio >>

Are you referring to the Ebay seller TECC? (The Executive Coin Company)

I've been wondering where they were getting all those Type IIs. They are virtually the only one selling them aside from a few collectors here and there.

I'm with Coindog, I'm not selling any as I want to see where these are goingimage

Yes,...They had a large amount of Ike Dollar rolls that had accumilated for years and
one of the guys working there became an "Ike" guy and went through them all. They came up
with a pretty large amount of them.....(but, I don't think they made any 65'simage)
They said they are out now.

Say, if most of the Ty2's went to a casino (I believe that is how the story goes, is it not?), then why don't

we see more well circulated examples? Seems like most found are in the AU/BU range. Or is it just that

folks so far have not bothered certifying the lower grades?

I think that the vast majority of the 72P IKEs are the Types I & 3. I believe the # of Type II IKEs are in the range of 100,000 (one die worth).

100,000 out of over 75 million total mintage of all three types is fairly scarce. I doubt you're going to see tons of these show up anytime soon in any condition, IMO.

Casino coins are pretty ugly because they don't acquire normal wear they just get
beat up. They also tend to suffer a pretty high rate of removal as they are carried
home by patrons as a souvenir. The casino is often said to have been located in
Jamaica. Any coins left over after they were discontinued would probably have been
shipped back to this country for redemption.

I would guess that more than half are sitting in drawers all over the world and the
rest were distributed around Miami many years ago. This is really the fate of high
numbers of all the Ikes and Kennedys; they are sitting as XF's in change jars all over
the country. Many are down to VF now days and AU's are getting much fewer in num-
ber. It's hard to think of coins not circulating getting worn but it must be the sliding
around in drawers and the dumping of the jars to get out the quarters doing it.
