Mercury Dime Lovers

Over the last weekend at a coin show, flea market and garage/yard sale I accumulated aabout 33 Mercury dimes. Nothing really rare or of high value. However, as comparing with the ones in my 8 sets in Whitman Albums I noticed that same old dumb reverse slanted thing. So I counted the new ones as to slanted reverses. Out of 33 coins, 8 were slanted from 5 to 15 degrees to the right. Then I found something weird. One more of them was well slanted to the left by about 15 degrees. So I bagan checking out the ones in the Whitman Albums. Average was 21 coins had slanted reverses to the right and only 4 to the left out of all completed albums. Actually missing the 42/41 coins in all sets. Don't think of them as part of the set.
So how many of you Mercury People have noticed this reverse slant thing. Anyone try to figure out why Mercury Dimes are so prevelant with this and hardly any other coins from the same era.????
