Laminated Silver Certificate from ebay purchase

I just got in the mail my "bright, crisp $5 silver certificate, 1953" and it arrived LAMINATED. Currency collectors don't LAMINATE their paper money. Should I ask for a refund from ebay seller. Never a hint in the ad that it had been RUINED.image
