zef...It's Heeeeeeeere!

Jordan,
HORRIBLE NEWS about your dog getting after it. I am very sorry for you--and the dog. That hurts. Hopefully this will make you cheer just a touch;

The Wrigley print you ordered is here and it is INSANE!!!!!!! This is unreal. If you don't do a jig when you see this, send it back! It's the BEST thing I've ever done! I was BLOWN away when I opened the boxes at the studio today. Just fantastic...
Here's a look at the print with the adjustments & restoration...

The image actuqally held up this sharp at the 12x18 size. It would likely hold it's own at 20x30. I'll email you with more details...I stumbled on to some fantastic mid-80's Cubs stuff. Team photographer stuff. Not "discards". These are his BEST works. They were very expensive, so I only bought 5 images, but they are great!
That's it for now!

    DGF,

    I see you have a picture of J.R. Richard in your signature. He was one heckuva stud on the mound. It's really a shame his career got cut short by a stroke. Anyway, Memory Lane has a PSA 10 '72 Topps Richard rookie (1 of 3) in their current auction. Thought you might be interested in case you weren't aware.

    "My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

    I think the real tragedy of J.R. was that the Astros thought he was being lazy. I remember the papers printing how the doctors had examined him and could find no issues, and then after his stroke, they kind of swept it under the rug. It would have been interesting to compare his numbers with Nolan Ryan if his career could have lasted that long......
