So much anger

I completed a sale to an Ebay member with no appearent problems. Positive feedback flowed as easily as a stream in the summertime. Then that member sends me a message with an "!" saying I could have returned his overpayment for shipping. This is the first I have heard anything from him about it. I sent him a reply that I would be more than happy to do so. Why are people so quick to cop an attitude where no malice has been shown? At least give someone a chance to fix something before getting so mad!

Brent

PS- Maybe Elaine Benes wrote it and felt it didn't have enough "!". LOL

How did he overpay? What happened?

    Matt
  • He paid before I sent invoice with combined shipping. The amount to be refunded is $2.25.

Jesus... he got all bent outa shape over $2.25? I guess next time he'll be a little more patient and wait on the invoice. I like quick payers as much as the next guy, but if they're not careful enough to read the auction and do 3 seconds worth of math, that's not my fault. I feel your pain Bighurt4.

Look at the people on these boards-- at least this guy got bent about an auction he actually won. You see guys here ready to string a seller up by the toenails even if they're not bidding on the guys auctions.

Ebay rage is like road rage-- it happpens because you're anonymous. I've gotten emails from Ebay buyers before that were laced with language that nobody would dream of using if they saw me face to face.
  • F...EM ALL!!!!CRYBABYS!!!
  • I wonder how much of it was a buyer feeling he got shafted on shipping in this instance, or how much of it was a culmination of constantly getting shafted on shipping and taking it out on the only seller who has been amicable with him. I mean, I have a list now of sellers I will not buy from because they charged X for shipping/insurance, and spent a whopping 39 cents to mail me my card. Not saying his reaction and attitude towards you was right, but I can understand someone finally snapping. You just happened to be the one in front of the bullseye.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
