I posted a thread on this Walter Payton PSA 9 card last week seeking opinions on the centering.
The general consensus was that it was within limits for a PSA 9, but definitely not the greatest centering for a PSA 9. Well, it ended last night at $610!! The buyer must have thought he was getting a great holder, because very nice Payton PSA 9's have gone in the $450-$500 range recently. (Unless I'm wrong of course)

Remember these Chuck Norris Facts
1. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down
2. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, Chuck Norris can actually roundhouse kick you yesterday
3. There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

I had a friend buy a PSA 8 Walter Payton for $125 about a year ago. I spent the next 12 months passing up PSA 8'S at $150-$175 trying to "get in" as low as he did. One ended this week for $251, and I still don't have one.
So I'm not surprised at the $610. And I would say the days of getting one at $450 may be just about over.
Same for "steals" on Bradshaw, Jimmy Brown, Ditka, Tarkenton, etc. 60's and 70's seem to be going through the roof IMO.
shawn.
Thanks,
