I SPENT THE WEEKEND WITH 11 MONSTERS IN MY BASEMENT...

...and dropped them all off at the bank this morning. They were very well-behaved. image

This is exactly why I will never need to buy a PR70DCAM. Enjoy!

Ellewood: Great to see you enjoy the set I specially assembled for you! Over the past 4-6 months, I have also enjoyed inspecting the better part of 10,000 slabbed PR69DC Ike Dollars. The 2-sided "monster" deep cameo coins deserve a special designation from the grading services IMHO - one day, they might just get it from PCGS and/or NGC (I believe ANACS already uses a "heavy" designation). Enjoy.

IMO, a very very smart way to collect. Cherry pick the undergrade. image

I've been doing this for years - sure beats paying crazy money for the 70's

BTW - very nice Ike set. Some of those 1978's are real monsters.

  • Are the photos a new TruView format?

If so, I like the cleaner white background -- but a darker background still would look better.

Are the photos a new TruView format?

This is actually my own format...but modeled a little after the TrueView set up. I just merge the pics together in Paint, then paste in the PCGS logo and then lastly I drop a text box in and choose my font for the Cert. #. I know many people are concerned with hiding the cert. #, but it doesn't bother me much at all. Actually, I still have to drop a small "TBL" in there (like I've done in most of my other coin shots) to prevent people from stealing the images. That has been a problem lately on eBay...

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

Very nice set and good work on the images. Proofs are not that easy to get good pictures of. And I like your plan of the 69DCAM's I have two more to find for my set and I will yoin you ar that grade. But a most of mine are not nearly as deep of Cameos as yours.
