I bought three 5,000 count bags of wheat cents from another board member. The boxes will weigh about 35 pound a piece. What is the best way to ship them; UPS or USPS?
USPS has a flat rate priority mail box that costs about 8 bucks to ship. One bag should easily fit in there, maybe two if you stay under seventy pounds.
Yeah I agree. I shipped something to a person and it weighed 22 pounds and cost $7.70. I think with the latest postage rate increase it may have gone up a little. They have two boxes. One is about 6" deep and about 12" square. The other one is almost a complete square shapped. Just go to the post office and ask for one of them. They are free when you pick them up and you pay one flat rate when you take that box in for shipping. suggest you pad the coins so they don't rattle. Best the post office don't know what's in there.
