Do any of you know of die cracks on IKE Dollars. I have an PCGS Graded 72-D with what appears to be a die crack across the lower portion of the obverse bust.
I don't have a Coneca membership to look this up but am very curious.
TIA

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

It is very unusual placement for a die crack. These usually run radially from an edge
to a point of a deeper part of the die. This looks more like a die scratch or gouge from
the picture.
It doesn't look familiar to me either.

I LOVE ERROR & PEG-LEG IKES!
I have seen that kind of a "crack" most notably on the Peace Dollar series and just totally spaced out that it was on the IKE. There is evidence of some heavy die polishing near the back of IKE neck and some very interesting cross-hatch polishing on the reverse.
Thanks for all the replies.
