ID help needed: Islamic coin and Israeli medal

So I've got this islamic coin but I did a quick search in the Krause book and can't seem to find it
Can anyone help me with it? It's probably made of bronze, has reeded adge, medal alignment and is 20 mm in diameter and about 1.5 mm thick.

Side 2:

The other one is a silver Israeli medal (I think). It's 34 mm in diameter, about 2.5 mm thick and has letter edge (it says SILVER 935 then something in Hebrew then 1200 then STATE OF ISRAEL then a picture of a menorah and some Hebrew letters). It has mirror-like fields but somebody left nasty fingerprints all over it. It came in a blue box with no inscriptions.

Side 2:

I'd like to know what this medal commemorates (something that happened in 1941, obviously, but what exactly?). If anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
