Retired Player addresses

Does anybody have a book that has addresses for old basball players? I see these books listed for sale in SCD, but hate to waste the money if there is not much in them. I am Looking for a player that pitched for about 4 years with the Twins from 72- 75. His name is Jim Strickland and his big claim to fame is he shared his rookie card with Rick Dempsey. 1972 card #778. Any help would be great or ideas on where to search would be helpful. Thanks
