Autograph card not signed?

Has anyone run across this before? I have a 1999 UD souvenir autograph card that is not signed. I would guess it is worth less than a signed card but seems to be a novelty.

I've seen that on the Beckett Hockey boards as well as incorrect autographed stickers placed on cards. Upper Deck.. pfft.

Man, that stinks. Its hard enough to pull an auto card and when you do its not auto'd. image

Fleer was evidently kind enough to sell dozens of them to potential scammers at their bankruptcy auction...

This guy sold a bunch this morning - with COA

  • I thought the players signed the actual card. I did not know they just signed a sticker that was put on the card. I have quite a few autographed cards mostly of Lou Brock as it seems like a good way to get autographs that were 100% authentic. Also spent some $ on TIm Couch auto cards but those are not worth much now. Here is a scan of one that looks good.

Actually I would like to own some of them without the auto, if I could get them for next to nothing. Be
something to send in the mail to see if you can get an auto from the person by mail.

They're actually pretty valuable...because as far as the layman knows, it's autographed, so a little scribble and you have a desirable auto card

    Have you considered writing UD?

I don't think it matters how old the item is - they made a mistake.
