I'm trying to attribute some coins tonight. Not doing so well. Thanks for the id on the 1878-P 7/8TF 37, VamGuy.
This came out of a junk box. 1878-P 7TF. I think it's a 131C. No mention of the dot in the eye and another in front of the eye.

The coin looks cleaned. I picked it up because I liked the die cracks on the reverse and the heavy clashing on the obverse (plus it was only $10). The area over ATE almost looks displaced. I don't have any coins with clashing in front of the eye. There's another clash mark off her chin that looks like she's wearing a goatee.
The clash at the neck seems to match a photo of the 131C. The description lists a gouge through B in LIBERTY. That's all I have to go on and was looking for a confirmation from a 78-P expert.

Well, I'm no 78-P expert, but the lines through IB in LIBERTY are consistent with the 131C.
