Thanks, Bruce. That is/was a Mark Feld coin and he generally just has the best! He described it as follows:

Here is a coin which has the potential to please (or displease) both those who prefer white coins, as well as those who pursue originally toned examples. The obverse is extremely brilliant and color-free, save for a hint of patina at the outer border. The reverse, on the other hand, is a deep, fairly uniform bluish-purple hue. I happen to like both looks. This (dual) type of appearance can result from storage in an old time coin cabinet over a period of many years.

Michael, Caleb is just fine. I cooked him 9 eggs but he wouldn't eat them until he thought that I realized that he was doing me the favor. Silly dog! The goat is fine. The nanny wasn't out there when I went to bottle feed it. Guess that they're roaming in the woods somewhere unless they got out. So, I brought the baby goat inside. It was laying in bed with me and Caleb while I was reading a Mack Bolan "Executioner" novel. Caleb is totally cool with it.

p.s. I'm hurt, Mike, that you don't find me sexy. image

p.p.s Oh, did you check out the NGC registry that I started for my type coins? EZ_E types

    Question, boardsters?

About half of my types have never been graded and the others I've broken out of their slabs to place inside a Dansco 7070 album. Before too long, I'm going to send the batch off to PCGS for grading. So, do you think that submitting a whole collection like this will be more favorable to me grading wise?

Beautiful proof Barber. The reverse looks like it has some electric blue hues. Great addition.

  • I don't collect proof Barber's, but that coin sure looks pretty.
