Feedback calculation?

Question: my feedback profile lists my positive feedback rating at 100%, derived from "2391 members who left a positive." Yet, my Feedback Score is 2387.

How can that be? Why wouldn't either

1.) my Feedback Score be also 2391, or
2.) my positive feedback rating be 99.9?

Nuetral feedback will not bring your percentage down...

You can only get positive feedback once from another ebayer, so if you did multiple transactions with a buyer/seller that could explain it.

Sometimes it takes several hours for the two numbers to sync up. I'll bet you've got four recent positives....

Mine is 397 , but 406 positive, 1 neg, no neutrals. I'm 8 off the correct sum. I believe it has to do with NARUed users. IN other words 8 of my positives were from users no longer registered so they no longer count in my total.

Jami - It's a little known fact that every time you beat me out on an item, your feedback drops by one! For the sake of your feedback score, you should probably stop bidding against me.

I know that when I first started on eBay, feedback from people who went NARU was converted to Neutral, but I don't think that happens anymore. Perhaps it has something to do with with the recent change involving feedback and disputes? If you file a claim against someone and they don't respond, their feedback can't count towards your score.

All in all, eBay probably made a programming change that screwed up the feedback calculation.

Sorry, but the NARUed users theory does not fly!!! I went through my feedback and found almost 30 NARUed different users among my feedback..................but I do have 6 neutrals...

I bet you do have neutrals.......the only way to find out is to go through all your feedback.......the feedback page only shows neutrals of the last 12 months.

Sounds more and more like an eBay glitch.

Mine looks like this and I've had 4 Neutrals:

Feedback Score: 1287
Positive Feedback: 99.9%

Members who left a positive: 1288
Members who left a negative: 1

All positive feedback received: 2988

I've had 844 unique positives, no negs, no neutrals. I'm at 100%

Guess I got 5 bonus points.

I've never had a neutral given me, if eBay converts NAru's to neutrals, perhaps. I'm too lazy to page back through all my feedback to see.

.....well it comes down to there being no rhyme or reason for the descrepancies.......

Neutrals do not take away from your positives like negatives do. It should correct itself soon. I've noticed my feedback was off like that before but then it went back to normal in a day or two.

Not to hijack this thread but I just noticed Jami is in St. Thomas. We bought a timeshare at the new Frenchman's Cove Marriott & will be going there next January for the 1st time. I'll be looking for info. before then.
