Amazing High Relief 1904 St. Louis World's Fair Medal W/ original box by DEPAULIS F......

I bought this medal recently and I'm looking for more information about it. It's from France and it celebrates the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.

It came in the original box with the tissue paper. I took pics of it and the box. The box says Monnaie De Paris. The obverse is in High Relief. I really think it's beautiful medal. I'm trying to find out the mintage of the piece. I know it's bronze and it's by DEPAULIS F. Does anyone know anything else about it? Thanks in advance.

I don't have any light to shed on the medal, but it is very cool!

The F is short for fecit - literally translated as "made it". In other words, the artists name is Depaulis.

    Very nice medal BTW! image

I don't know much about it, but the Monnaie de Paris is still in business. There are some beatiful medals out there...unfortunately our best expert has been Yeti for quite awhile now.

Yeah, Askari would be able to tell you a lot about the medal, or at least about the artist who made it.

I love it. The obverse is exquisite.
