A buyer won a pair of auctions, about $50 total. So far, it's been 1 week, no response, and emails to this guy bounce back. He's got about 140 pos feedback and 2 negs from 3 years ago (for non payment, surprise surprise). I've invoiced him twice (once immediately after the auction, again on Wednesday, and have sent two emails to his address. One through ebay, one via normal email. Both are not responded to. The guy hasn't bid on anything since the auction, so...

What's a reasonable amount of time before taking this to the dispute console?

  • Do you have a deadline in your listing for tendering payment?
  • Did he check out? How long did it take for prior sellers to receive payment? Some people mail money orders and never communicate nor leave feedback. Regardless, I hit the "dispute" flag at 21 days and leave negative feedback after 28 days.
