is it safe/wise?????????

is it safe to buy baseball cards on e-bay? my sister is worried that my auto cards might be fake. where do I send them to get graded and authenticated?

    If the autographed cards are inserts from the card manufacturers - you should generall be safe [be wary of Ruth signatures, though...]. Otherwise, if the cards are certified by PSA/DNA or JSA, you should be fine. PSA/DNA will offer a 'quick opinion' on Ebay listings for a small fee. Getting autographs certified by PSA/DNA can be pretty expensive - but if you check out their website, you should find all you need to know.
    I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    Generally, autographed cards of "common" players are fine, even on eBay. If you can post some scans of your cards here there are a lot of pretty knowlegeable folks who will be happy to give you an opinion for free.

    If you buy autographed cards from me, you've got no worries!
