1908D $5 indian head MS63, coin company asking $4150 NGC certified, being new to collecting is this a reasonable price? Hard to track what is reasonable.

    If so you can find one in low mint state on ebay for under $300

    i'm not an expert coin collector but the value in the price book I have for a 1908D $5 Indian Head MS63 is only $2,200 and I'm sure that you could find it for under $1,500. I don't really care much for collecting coins. I just buy a couple and then try to sell them for a little profit and I think its crazy how a grade difference between MS62 and MS63 would double the price. In your case an MS62 is listed for less then half the price of a MS63.
