Coin Vault Morgans ?

Lately they are claiming that these " GEM BU" coins came from rolls in sealed bags.

Is that correct ?

I thought these were shipped loose in 1k bags.

Hence " Bag Toners " and " Textile Toners"

  • Maybe they "rolled" the bags off of the truck.

When I first started collecting Morgans I bought a roll of AU to gem BU coins from CV. Every one of the coins (except a common date GSA) had been whizzed. I have never and will never buy coins from CV again.

  • last week that said : yes it was hard work dipping those coins to look so nice.
if your going to buy these morgans to sell for a profit dont ! because we dont know if silver will go up or down.

There may be nothing wrong with that claim. Consider this scenario: they got a bunch of Morgans, whizzed and dipped them, put them in rolls, put the rolls in bags, and sealed the bags. Therefore they could claim that the coins came from "rolls in sealed bags".

You have to be careful with Coin Vault. They are very good at misleading people by "technically" telling the truth.

    Nice icon!!
  • Yes this is true, coin vault buys huge lots from dealers and they are in rolls but the dealers ship the morgan rolls in bags, don't let smooth talking ROBERT Chamber Maid use his LINGO on you. I bought a set of the statehood quarter program lot from Coin Vault in 2003, the only time I bought anything from that company, the coins were supposed to be Gem Bu, let me tell you this, I got the set in gold plated Mints P & D from 1999 to 2003 also the clads and all coins came to me in awful condition, looked like the coins came from a smokers house all of the coins had spots and a weird haze, I sent them back and would you beleive they sent the same freaking coins back, the reason I know is I put little marks on returned items.

I called Robert Chambers on the phone and he told me to keep the sets I had and he would send me out another set. Well I told him to go ahead and send the other sets, they were no better, returned the sets back to him and got a full refund. Emailed Robert again and he told me to keep the other set for my troubles and hope I will buy again. Damn I am worn out explaining this to you guys. Buyer Beware!
