UConn loses

Not surprised by this - but I am happy for Syracuse, especially McNamara. He played a tremendous game, in what is his last Big East tourney.

Does this cost UConn a #1 seed?

It should be interesting. I think they'll get a #1 seed since they have been ranked #1 for a long time, but if multiple top teams with their conference tourneys (Duke, Nova, Memphis, Texas and Ohio State) These teams would then be more deserving IMO.

Exactly what I was thinking...if Nova wins the Big East tourney, along with the other teams you mentioned winning theirs, UConn might have to settle for a #2. I can't see the committee giving UConn and Nova both #1 seeds if that should happen, and Duke would certainly receive a #1 provided they win the ACC.

i thought it was great that McNamara stepped up and hit that shot again right after Boeheim stuck up for him..........I watched the game in a bar right outside the Garden today....everyone went nuts.

UCONN will still get a #1 seed.

I agree that will still get the nod. I now like the Orange b/c of their ability to step up.

How about Ohio State as a #1 seed? I think they need to win the Big 10 Tourney to be considered and that will be tough...
