When did PSA remove the hologram on the back of the slabs?

Just curious if anybody knows when the reverses changed? I like the white letters and hologram better.

That's an old slab. They ditched the hologram in a cost cutting move.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

yeah, I'm going to say the hologram has been gone for 5 or 6 years. The hologram idea sprung from the hologram on drivers licenses issued in the late 90s that were supposed to prevent tampering. I think the hologram on the PSA holder never really worked in that respect.

On some of the slabs I have with the hologram, the white PSA lettering is peeling and chipping. I prefer the new style reverse.

Most of the cards I have here use the white lettering and hologram. If I had to guess I would have guessed the change was made more recently. Thanks for the info!
