When you bid in a live auction to you like to.....

Sit in the front to make sure the auctioneer sees you.

Sit or stand in the back to see who the competition is.

Sit anywhere, doesn't make any difference.

or....

stand on the side of the room while bidding. Have seen that some people like that vantage point to
see what is going on.

I hear that Russ has been able to make clones of himself and usually takes 4 or 5 of him to an auction to get all the Kennedy's that are available......

Great question. There's a lot of psychology involved here.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I sit near the back because if collector friends are bidding I stay out but I like to out bid some dealers I know without them knowing it's me.image

I like to sit at home and have an agent bid for me. Works better that way.

I like the back. I typically only bid on one or two coins - and it's cool to watch all the heads turn to see who's bidding.

If I am going to be at the session for a while or the whole time, I like to sit a few rows from the front along the right aisle (to get back for more food or drink easily). Otherwise, I stay further back and duck in and out as I need to bid or want to watch.

When there is floor teamwork to conduct, it works differently.

I sit close to the exit. When I bid on what I want I then can leave without drawing attention.
I seldom check PM's but do check emails often jason@seated.org
