1964 accented v. regular hair

Can someone post some pictures of a 1964 Kenedy with accented hair vs regular hair so that I can see the difference? I have no idea what I am looking for. ALso, how many with accented hair variety were minted?

    Regular left, AH right

    About 1-3% are AH.

Steve's got a good set of pictures, look at the "V" shaped hair waves above the ear.

With the "V", accented hair. No "V" regular.

There is also differences in the lettering. The I in liberty is missing a seriph on the AH

Wow, that is not very noticeable. Those appear to be proof coins. Is the accented hair only on proofs?

    Yes.

There are also differences on the reverse, but you really need to study to get good at that.
I think Russ has sniped some good ones from a reverse only pic.

    Thanks for the help.
  • There's an AH expert, or expert on AH's, prominent on these boards NCNE

Hethinks he's an expert on many things numismatic, and does take a damn good coin picture.
