Anyone ever bid on a Teletrade auction....

When do you find out if you won an auction once it closes?

It says Pending now. Will it say that I won or what?

Thanks,
Dave

it takes ten to fifteen minutes. then check for auction you won.

About 15 to 20 minutes after close you can go in to account info and it will list any coins you won.

Go to Account Information and try to get results for that auction (2172 presently). It will say it is an invalid auction for a little while. Just refresh that page every so often and you will eventually get the results ...... much sooner than they appear on your Track & Bid page.

  • The gerbils that power the computers at Teletrade need to improve their diets. That is the problem.
Collecting cleaned, scratched, scraped, AT and ugly POS coins for over 2 years now!
  • The quickest way is to go to "account info", and click on "which lots did I win". But this works about a half hour after the auction closes. No other way is faster.

    Thanks everyone.

Did anyone else bid on a coin in tonight's auction?

If you won a coin, post the lot # if you want.

Actually, there is even a quicker way (which I just used). Do it the old way Teletrade worked. Call 1-800-332-5040 and enter your bidder ID number. You get it in 10 minutes or so, just like the old days. It is more direct, apparently, than waiting for a refresh on the web front end. BTW, it is also a way to bid when their website is unbearable bogged down.

Nothing special tonight. Won #1595, an 1878 VAM-39, and #1728, a 1923 Preace dollar with two clashes on the eagle's shoulder.

Won Lot #1082, 1907 Liberty Nickel PCGS MS64

    Looks PQ for the grade!!!
  • gerbils or no, teletrade is the best venue still for buying certified coins at auction online, and if the computers go down you can still dial in. cant beat that. heritage and davidlawrence are still distant seconds.

  • I like Teletrade....they have actually sent the coins to me before I paid....pretty neat.

it takes an hour for coins on your watchlist to disappear if buy-backs (did not meet reserve) or final winning price posted

what bugs me is I try sniping occasionally and bid 2-3 increments higher than current at the last possible second, but it still does not always win me the coin
