    I love thinking dealers are fair game, but I would say a private offering is private.

    If the dealer has told you to keep your mouth shut, yes.

    Unless they are stolen coins, I think the ethical approach is obvious. The opportunity to purchase or see the coins was contingent on your confidence in the matter.

    Unethical? No. Poor form, definitely. And a quick way to make sure the offers don't continue.

    I'm not sure any of the above would be categorized as unethical, however.
