PCI = Pretty Clean Inside (Trade Dollar)

I just received a 1877-S Trade Dollar graded and slabbed as MS60 by PCI. Having looked at PCI graded coins in the past I expected to receive something on the order of an AU50-AU58, and I paid accordingly. Instead I received one that looks like it was cleaned and shined with brasso. Somebody has shined the snot out of this one. I've already notified the seller that I would be returning the coin. Guess I didn't realize that PCI slabbed cleaned coins without putting a notation on the label. The sellers pictures were small, not very good, and did not show any indication of cleaning.

    Jeeez, nice crosshatch pattern! I'd guess 220 grit. That's too bad!

    Are the cross-hatches we're seeing for real or are they a result of lights at 10:00 and 2:00?
