Bought a few Territorials while in NY this week for the Stack's auction and thought I would post one as a "Guess the Grade". The obverse has the same luster as the reverse - photo's were taken in a hurry and will be improved later.

I was wondering what S.M.V. stood for, so I looked it up.
The letters S.M.V. on the reverse stand for Standard Market Value. This implied that the coin was of the correct weight and fineness.
Is that right?

Nice original surfaces and a great look! RYK was the first to guess the grade.

If that coin were a Philly eagle, the AU-50 to 53 guesses would have been on the mark. The soft strike has to be considered, and the luster and (apparent) original surfaces are killer. Great coin!
