Planchet Flake

How much will a small Planchet Flake in the field of a Morgan Dollar effect the Grade.

    It won't effect the grade, but it will effect the price...

    Morgans with "laminations" are generally worth MORE.

    But it all depends on the size of the flake/lamination.

    OffMetal is correct. A planchet flaw, if cool, can increase the value for a coin. If not cool, it could detract from value. Will not affect grade. A picture would help determine if cool or not.
