Since the contest is not based in the real world, it's just a guessing game on which coins PCGS will decide to raise the price in their price guide.

What you want is a coin with a large population and buy them all.

This gives you a large multiplier and then you have to hope you get lucky and PCGS decides to raise the price on your pick.

If you buy 10,000 of a coin and the price guide gods decide they're worth $5 more today - you're up $50k

Of course if you tried to sell all 10,000 coins in the real world, the price would drop like rock.

But it's not about making money in the coin market.

It's about buying high population coins and hoping the "price guide" will move up.

Or ... you could browse Heritage's coming attractions for nice looking specimens and buy those. When they bring a lot at auction and the price goes up on the website, your portfolio goes up.
