Edgar Martinez would be one if he was not so brittle and became a DH early in his career. Of course Randy Johnson, A-Rod, Ken Griffey Jr would be the other three. But they all got smart and bolted the great Northwest.

    Harold Reynolds should be in!

Does anyone else find it interesting to say the least that the resident Mariners fan on the boards, AXHOLE deems it neccessary to load every Yankee post yet cant offer his blabbering 2 cents to a post regarding his own team ?

  • I loved the Mariners growing up ... In my Hall of Fame there would be:

Spike Owen - is there a better baseball name and a greater guy?
    Mark Langston
    Alvin Davis
    Jack Perconte
    Jim Presley
    Mike Moore
    Matt Young
    Ed Vande Berg

OK ... now for the reality check ... probably the only real Hall of Famers who have played for the M's will be Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, A-Rod, and maybe Edgar Martinez (long shot, but you never know).
  • Eddddddddddddddddddddddgarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Seriously, I hope he makes it.

  • I for one, actually believe Edgar Martinez will make the Hall. Stats are Hall worthy--7 time all star, lifetime .312 hitter. 18 years, all with Seattle (means more than most people think). Molitor made it as a mostly DH (granted 3000 hits helped), what's to say Edgar makes it as the first true DH?
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
  • I hope Edgar does make it. What about Harold Baines?
  • Now that I was serious, Ill add a few others as jokes.

    Russ Davis.
    Bobby Ayela. (complete 100% Ahole)
Dan Wilson (not an ahole good guy)

How can no one have mentioned Jay Buhner? Massive power, a rocket for an arm, and he just looked like a bad-ass. Not good enough for the Hall but he was always one of my favorites.
