I have a 1955s MS68 RED wheat penny. On pcgs price list it says the coin is worth $13,000?? Is this REALLY what the coin is worth or is it just worth a penny??

Firstly, welcome to the message boards. Now, on to your question. The answer is "whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it". However, Grading companies others than PCGS, NGC or ANACS get little to no respect in the coin collecting community. Sometimes they bring pennies on the dollar to what the counterparts would sell for. If you listed the coin on eBay, you may get $100.00 for it. I don't know for sure, just guessing. If the PCGS price guide says that, then that is what I am guessing. You may not even get $50.00 for it. When I buy off brand slabs, I consider them raw and bid accordingly. The case of that coin, if I saw it in that slab, I would bid $5.00 for it. Of course, I am not looking for that coin, so that plays in it, too.
